Another eventful day Hello again,

They moved Michael back into his isolet today. This is a tep in the right direction as they had moved him to the non-enclosed bed to have access to perform procedures on him. Going back to the isolet will better control the air temp and it will also be quieter for him. And since we were there during the change over, we got to hold him again. This time for about 90 minutes.

They also turned off the photo-therapy lamp today. His biliruben levels (the makers of jaundice) had dropped to a very managable point. Especially as he is pooping, ad can eliminate even more of the chemical.

His breast milk feedings are increasing (still through a feeding tube), and his IV nutrition is decreasing. His oxygen levels can't go down any further, as he is prettymuch on natural air. However, the pressue that is going through the nose canula keeps getting decreased.

All in all, his supports systems are being steadily decreased, and he is still fairing very well. Now if his left lung would just seal up, all would be good.

Today the doctors said that they would clamp the chest tube tomorrow and see how he does. From what they could tell, it seemed that the hole causing the pneumothorax must be relatively small, so it should heal up fairly quickly.

Please keep him in your prayers for a speedy recovery.
