Today was my first day back at work in several weeks. I had been checking e-mail so I wasn't too far behind on anything. Though I think I will take a few more days off this week.

Michael had a good day today, taking a bottle at 12:00p and 6:00p. He only ate about 15ml each time, but they were pretty close together.

They also decided that his red light oxygen sensor could be removed today. He had been off the oxygen for about a week now (maybe 5 days) without any incidents. Now he just has his heart rate / resperatory rate sensors, which is only on cord. Of course that one cord goes to three sensors stuck to his chest or, as is often the case, his clothes. We have gotten pretty goos at resticking these sensors when all of the sudden his heart is not beating. Or at least that is what the monitor says. Michael can be very active, even without a pulse. :) Hopefully, one of these days, those sensors can be removed as well. Though I doubt it.

Michael also wieghed in last night at 5 pounds 5 ounces. A dramatic increase from before. We're thinking that he just had a really good poop that he was holding on to so he could get a good weight. We'll see what tonight brings.

The final note of interest was that Grandma Roberts (Gretchen's mom) got to hold Michael. With me at work, Gretchen needed a little help while pumping at the hospital and figured Grandma was up to the task. Note to all interested, as payment she also got to change the next diaper.
