What a way to celebrate his 3 week birthday. Michael decided to have a thoroughly exciting morning by completely finishing his 9:00a 45ml bottle in about 20 minutes. He was wide awake when the PT arrived and stayed awake during his exercizes. When Ruth came in about 5-10 minutes after the PT left, he was still wide awake, just looking around the room. She said he downed the bottle without any problems.
Of course, when we were there for his 3:00p feeding he was back getting down about 15ml of the full 45ml before pooping out. But he is moving forward.
He is now 5 pounds, 12 ounces. A full pound higher than his birth weight. He is no longer wearing the premie Pampers diapers, but is now into the newborn. Guess we might need to return the premie diapers we have already gotten. He will very likely have outgrown his premie clothers, as well, by the time he comes home. He is gaining at least an ounce a day, so only a few more days until he is 6 pounds. And maybe not even that long.
