A Few More Days Michael's problem eating last night bought him a few more days in the NICU. The doctor said that it reset his five day clock. Though I don't think he had been five days without a similar problem, so who knows.
This does mean that it looks like we hav until at least Monday to get everything ready at home. We did run out to Target and got the rest of the necessities: bottles, wipes, etc. Hopefully now we are ready at home. We'll see how we resopnd the next time they say he is coming home tomorrow.
Being in a few more days also means that they were able to check out a new issue he has of a missed heart beat. Most doctor-type people are saying that this is usually not a problem, but they did and EKG today just to be sure. Neat picture of him all wired up from that.
Speaking of pictures, Michael got his hospital picture taken today. The picture will be on a special web page tomorrow, and I'll post that information so you can all see his great picture. Amy did a gret job capturing Michael's picture.
Other than his extended stay, all is well. He did another round of breast feeding followed by the bottle. This time we knew to pay a little closer attention to his progress, and regulated him a bit more. Doing this, he had no issues. And he downed his 52ml in under 10 minutes.
I think that is everything, but I've probably forgotten some crucial tidbit. Oh well, if so I'll get it tomorrow.
