Ok, it's not PCA, it's PAC, Premature Atrial Contraction. From medhelp.com:
PAC's (premature atrial contractions) are a benign problem. The heart rhythm is interrupted every so often by an "extra" heartbeat that causes the rhythm to reset after a compensatory pause that occurs after the premature beat. This pause is often perceived by someone as a "skipped" beat, but in reality, no heartbeats are truly skipped.
Hope that clears it up. The reason they were did the EKG was to verify that it was a PAC and not a PVC. Nobody wants plactic piping in their heart. Wait, wrong PVC. This one is Premature Ventricular Contractions, which are not benign, and could be a big problem. Good thing it wasn't that.
We keep getting closer to the day Michael gets to come home. We made another shopping run, this time to Babies R Us. We weren't missing anything really crucial, but picked up a few goodies, along with some useful items. With this, I think we've gotten to the point where we have more than was is necessary for him to live here. Except for any formula he might require. We'll probably stop by Target sometime tomorrow to get that.
Guess there's always one more thing.
