Michael's 2nd Birthday Another year has flown by. At his 2 year doctor's visit, Michael weighed in at 30 lbs and 36 inches tall. This put him in the 75 percentile for weight and 90th for height. Guess he is well past his preemie stage.
His vocabulary is growing in leaps and bounds. Every new work you say he tries to say as well. He is stringing words together, and has even started using prepositions like "on" or "in".
He has also gotten more dexterity and has even started jumping. Though his jumping is more of just lifting his feet off the ground at the same time, not pushing up with his feet. But it is a start.
We had some plans of things to do on his birthday, but we wound up spending most of our evening in bed watching TV. I cam home from work early with what turned out to be pneumonia. So I wasn't up for much of anything. But Michael really enjoyed just sitting in bed, snacking and watching his "bunnies". That's the "Max and Ruby" show, based on the book series about two bunnies. Max is around two and Ruby is his older sister around 7. It is his favorite show, not that he watches much of anything. Though he really liked watching the Olympic swimming trials. Seeing everyone splashing in the "gib pool". (Michael has started pronouncing it as "big" like it should be.)
