2010-02 - Southern California

We made it out to California again for a nice long, late Winter vacation This year we started with a few days with GG and GP (Michael's great-grandparents) before going to Palm Desert for two weeks. While at GG and GP's, Michael napped in one of the guest room beds. Sleeping in a big bed for the first time. He was so excited about the experience, when we went to Palm Desert we arranged to be able to "let" him sleep on the pullout sofa bed in our room. Now we are working on a "Big Boy Bed" chart at home, to move Michael out of his crib.

Otherwise, it was really nice to be in one place for a full two weeks. It allowed us to really get into a routine and schedule, and give Michael time to get used to his new surroundings. And though we really love the Palm Desert weather, we may see if this type of schedule works out for Newport Coast to be a bit closer to other family in CA, next time (hopefully there is a next time.)
